July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment & Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, visited the Georgian ports of Anaklia, Poti, and Batumi, as well as the Port of Poti.

The expansion of Uzbekistan's export and import operations through the Georgian route was discussed.

In Anaklia, the possible participation of Uzbekistan in the construction of a deep-water port was considered, which will become an important hub for international routes, including the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan corridor. Projects for the placement of warehouse and terminal infrastructure for Uzbek cargo were discussed in Poti and Batumi.

As a result of the visit, promising areas of cooperation were outlined, including the preparation of agreements and the creation of a consortium with the participation of Uzbek companies. Georgian ports remain a key channel for Uzbekistan's access to European markets.
