February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The average price of automobiles in 2024 increased by 10.6% against 2023 and reached 54,923 manats, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Media Analysis Center.

This trend shows that the average price of cars imported in Azerbaijan has increased significantly in recent years.

This may be linked with changes in demand, global economic factors, and general price increases in the automotive market.

Despite the fact that the majority of automobiles imported into the country over the past 5 years are passenger cars with fuel-fired engines, in 2024 the share of eco-friendly cars in total car imports reached a record high of 35.45%.

Among the cars imported in Azerbaijan, the share of motor vehicles with fuel engines for the first time was below 80%, that is, 64.55%.

The tax and customs privileges applied to eco-friendly cars, as well as the low cost of travel for these types of vehicles, lead to a rapid increase in their number.
