January 13, Fineko/abc.az. The world's first carbon fiber subway train, CETROVO 1.0 Carbon Star Express, has been commissioned in China.

ABC.AZ infoms that it has already started transporting passengers on Metro Line #1 in Qingdao, Shandong Province.

According to CSR developer Qingdao Sifang Co, CATROVO 1.0 is 11% lighter than traditional trains of similar size.

This weight reduction allows for the use of 7% less energy, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by about 130 tons annually.

According to Chinese media, this is equivalent to planting 6.7 hectares of forest.
