Azerbaijan’s households had 1.79 million computers

August 31, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, there were 1 million 791 thousand 467 computers in Azerbaijan’s households, up by 4,004 units, or 0.2%, compared with 2024.

According to ABC.AZ, citing the State Statistics Committee, during the reporting period, the number of desktop computers increased by 2,907 units, or 0.8%, to 348 thousand 581.

The number of portable computers decreased by 59,751 units, or 7.2%, to 771 thousand 57, while the number of tablets and other similar equipment increased by 60,848 units, or 10%, to 671 thousand 829.

In 2025, there were 175.2 computers per 1,000 people in households, up by 0.2% compared with the previous year. This included 34.1 desktop computers per 1,000 people (up 0.9%), 75.4 portable computers (down 7.3%) and 65.7 tablets or other similar devices (up 9.9%).

Among computer users, 40.7% were aged 36–64 (down 2.5 percentage points), 29.1% were under 24 (up 1.6 percentage points), 26.4% were aged 25–35 (down 3.3 percentage points), and 2.9% were over 64 (up 4.2 percentage points, or 2.5 times).
