October 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2024, Azerbaijan imported 112,504 sheep from foreign countries for $10.719 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this indicator is by $8.639 million, or 44%, in value terms and by 138,575 sheep, or 2.2-fold less against the 2023 same term.

Over Jan-Aug 2023, the country imported 251,079 sheep for $19.412 million.

The average import price for 1 sheep for the first 8 months of 2024 was $95 (162 manats), which is $18 (31 manats) more than a year earlier, or 23%.

Over Jan-Aug 2023, the average import price for 1 sheep was $77 (131 manats).
