July 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2024, the legal entities and individuals carried out trade operations with their partners in 164 countries of the world, including exports to 104 countries and imports from 154 countries.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee that taking into account the statistically estimated value of exported crude oil and natural gas that have been registered by customs authorities, but whose customs clearance has not been fully completed, the country's foreign trade turnover for Jan-May 2024 totaled $18.225 billion.
The value of export products reached $10.924 billion, or 59.9% of trade turnover, and the value of imported products - $7.3 billion, or 40.1% of trade turnover. As a result, positive balance of $3.6 billion was formed.
Compared with Jan-May 2023, foreign trade turnover declined by 9.9% in actual prices, by 7.6% in real terms, including imports by 7.8% and exports by 7.6%.
Non-oil exports for Jan-May 2024 amounted to $1.26 billion, a drop of 14% in actual prices and 22.5% in real terms versus Jan-May 2023.
According to the State customs Committee, 23.9% of foreign trade turnover accounted for Italy, a 13.9% for Türkiye, and 9.4% for Russia, by 7.2% for China and 5% for Israel, 3.6% for India, 3.4% for Germany, 2.4% for Australia, 2% for the Czech Republic, by 1.8% for the USA and Greece, by 1.5% for Georgia and Croatia, by 1.3% for Bulgaria, Romania, Iran, Thailand and Portugal, by 0.9% for Turkmenistan and Ukraine, by 1.1% for Korea, Belarus, and Tunisia, and 11.2% for trade with other countries.
