October 18, Fineko/abc.az. "The Moldovan government should find 10 billion lei ($512 million) to cover the budget deficit in 2023 and 2024."
ABC.AZ reports that Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan stated about this. He noted that the conflict on the territory of Ukraine has caused serious damage to the economy of Moldova.
"This war has led to the loss of markets, disruption of the supply of goods and a reduction in production. Last year, Moldova's economy shrank by 6.5%. The country's economy is expected to shrink by 2.2% this year. Currently, inflation in Moldova is at a high level (10%), and tax revenues are lower than expected," Rechan stressed.
