September 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Republic of Azerbaijan has officially been admitted as a full member of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), a global entity aimed at driving inclusive digital economy growth.

According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, this membership will grant domestic startups and tech companies direct access to partner country markets, global acceleration initiatives, and venture funds. Furthermore, leveraging member experience in e-government, AI, and smart solutions will reinforce Azerbaijan’s position as a regional digital hub connecting the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

Additionally, sharing flagship domestic solutions—such as "mygov", "Digital Bridge", "Digital Login", and the "SIMA" biometric signature—on the DCO platform will boost Azerbaijan’s ICT export capabilities. Established in November 2020, the DCO is a multilateral global body focused on accelerating digital prosperity and innovation worldwide.
