June 20, Fineko/abc.az. The number of Azerbaijani citizens who went abroad grew by 19.5% (versus Jan-May 2022) up to 633,600 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the number of Azerbaijani citizens who left for Russia increased 1.9-fold, for Georgia by 36.5%, for Iran decreased by 29.1%, for Türkiye by 0.4%.

At that, 39% of the total number of country’s citizens who went abroad visited Türkiye, Russia - 24.3%, Georgia - 9.4%, Iran - 7.9%, other countries - 19.4%.

69.5% of those who left the country are men, and 30.5% are women.

30% of citizens who visited foreign countries used rail and road transport, 67.2% traveled by air, 2.8% by sea.
