September 3, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, 1 million 342,600 foreigners and stateless persons from 191 countries arrived in Azerbaijan, down 9.2% from the same period in 2025.

Men accounted for 67.4% of arrivals, while women made up 32.6%.

The main countries of origin were:

Russia — 28.3%;

Türkiye — 20%;

Iran — 7.9%;

Georgia — 4.7%;

Kazakhstan — 4.6%;

Uzbekistan and Pakistan — 3.2% each;

Israel — 3.1%;

India — 2.6%;

China — 2.5%;

Saudi Arabia — 2.3%.

In January–July, the number of arrivals from EU countries increased by 8% to 65,900, while arrivals from CIS countries rose by 1.6% to 531,300.

At the same time, arrivals from the Persian Gulf countries fell by 32.8% to 159,500.

By mode of transport, 72.4% of arrivals were by air, 26.2% by rail and road, and 1.4% by sea.
