May 15, Fineko/abc.az. The amendment to the Law on Medicines will allow optimization of prices.
ABC.AZ reports that Milli Majlis Healthcare Committee’s deputy chairman Rashad Mahmudov informed about this.
He said that this change, which serves to facilitate and simplify the documentation, registration and licensing of medicines imported by organizations importing medicines into our country, will have positive impact on both prices and quality after certain period of time.
"In accordance with the latest change, if any drug of a company engaged in production of a chemical substance was registered, the same simplified procedure was carried out as the import into the country of drugs with other types and units of measurement of the same composition without registration. Today, the state policy is aimed not only at controlling the quality of medicines in the country, but also at optimizing prices. This is an integral part of the state health policy pursued by the President. It is also known in world practice that one of the simplest ways to achieve these listed goals is possible when creating a competitive environment and abundance. The creation of competition leads to an increase in quality. And the abundance obtained by simplifying registration will optimize the price. The application of these two methods in our country is one of the most important tasks facing the relevant authorities, and with these changes we can achieve great success in the future," the deputy added.
