May 2, Fineko/abc.az. Business activity in the manufacturing sector of the single European currency circulation zone accelerated the decline in April.

ABC.AZ that this is evidenced by the final data of S&P Global.

The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), reflecting the activity of the sector, amounted to 45.8 points in April against 47.3 points a month earlier.

The preliminary estimate was 45.5, and analysts did not expect it to change.

A value of 50 points separates the growth of activity from the decline.
