September 2, Fineko/abc.az. Large-scale demining operations are being carried out across the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made these statements in his message to the participants of the 4th International Conference on Demining, titled "Humanitarian Demining for Urban Reconstruction: Setting Standards of Excellence for Safe Settlements."

The head of state noted that to date, over 298,000 hectares of land have been cleared, with 260,147 landmines and unexploded ordnances discovered and neutralized. Azerbaijan continues to deploy advanced technologies, innovative approaches, and modern management systems to enhance the speed, safety, and efficiency of demining efforts.
