April 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Audiovisual Council and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) have received new powers.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the relevant presidential decree.

Under the decree, cases of administrative offenses related to propaganda by media subjects of actions contrary to health and environmental protection and publication of information about the guilt of a person without a court decision that has entered into force will be considered by the Audiovisual Council of Azerbaijan in relation to audiovisual media subjects, the Media Development Agency in relation to other media subjects.
