July 9, Fineko/abc.az. This June, the number of recipients of monthly social benefits for the elderly amounted to 176,399 in Azerbaijan, and 38.9% of them were men and 61.1% - women, the State Social Protection Fund informs.

For comparison, in June 2025, the number of recipients of monthly social benefits for the elderly exceeded 166,000. At that time, 34.84% of the recipients, or approx. 57,800 people, were men, while 65.16%, or close to 108,200 people - women.

Over the year, the number of men receiving social benefits for old age increased by nearly 10,800 people, and their share among total beneficiaries from 34.84% up to 38.9%.

At that, the share of women decreased from 65.16% to 61.1%, although they continue to make up the majority of recipients of benefits in this category.
