April 20, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tourism Agency will launch a tourism register in the coming days, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Agency’s chair Fuad Nagiyev as saying this at Baku event "Tourism business: current situation & prospects".

He added that by 2026, steps are being taken to bring the annual number of foreign tourists arriving in the country to 4 million, the annual number of local tourists to 6 million, and the annual volume of tourism expenditures to AZN 10 bn.

"Currently, we are working over the development of tourism infrastructure in Sugovushan, Tuga and Hadrut. Also for this purpose, we’re cooperating closely with the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport on the development of air transport. Along with the work done, we have a lot of other work to do. Each of us should make a lot of efforts for development," Nagiyev added.
