April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Work on the construction of the Lachin International Airport continues at a rapid pace.

ABC.AZ reports that , the soil layer is leveled for the construction of the airport runway to be built in a difficult terrain. After completion of all these works, the construction of the airport will begin.

The Lachin International Airport is located in a very difficult place from a geographical angle. There is a need to carry out large volumes of earthworks.

Drilling is carried out with the help of heavy machinery. The points that the technique cannot drill are exploded.

And the airport, located 60 km from Kelbajar district, will allow easy access not only to Lachin, but also to Kelbajar. The construction of an airport here will give an impetus to the socio-economic development of the region as a whole, will lead to an increase in tourist potential.

The airport will be put into operation at the end of next year.
