March 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) has suggested changes to the Law on Labor Pensions through reducing the retirement age for women to 63 years.

ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in Ombudsman's 2022 report.

According to the report, considering the role of women in Azerbaijani society and family, the responsibilities she bears, it is inexpedient to gradually increase the pension age for working women to 65 by the summer of 2027.

It was noted that this prompts the need to reduce the retirement age for women.
