February 24, Fineko/abc.az. High rates of inflation and the observed increase in prices on the fuel market are factors that directly affect the pricing of the air-ticket.

ABC.AZ reports that first vice president of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) Samir Rzayev said this in an exclusive interview.

He noted that the cost of fuel purchased by AZAL both within the country and abroad is determined taking into account international exchange prices.

Rzayev says that in 2022 alone the cost of jet fuel on international exchanges grew almost 4-fold. Having paid attention to the forecasts of many companies specializing in the field of aviation, we note that the process of increasing the price of air tickets is observed all over the world.

Rzayev stressed that, however, AZAL takes a number of measures so that the above-mentioned moments do not affect the buyer. Since these processes are organized in stages, it takes some time to achieve the desired result.
