November 14, Fineko/abc.az. IMF’s latest forecast regarding global economic growth turned out to be more pessimistic than last month because of the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine and inflation.
ABC.AZ reports that this was announced on Sunday by an employee of the organization's research center Tryggvi Gudmundsson.
"The continued deterioration of purchasing managers' indices in 20 economic zones in recent months confirms that forecasts are more pessimistic compared to the forecast in October. Currently, there are many problems, and the weakening of economic indicators indicates further challenges."
The IMF lowered its global growth forecast for next year to 2.7% from 3.8% forecast in January. Growth is likely to fall below 2%.
