About AZN 757 million received from sale of precious metals

March 17, Fineko/abc.az. Deputy chairman of the board of AzerGold Khayyam Farzaliyev told about some plans for the future at the presentation of the book "Mineral Exploration & the Basics of the Mining Industry".

ABC.AZ reports that Farzaliyev said that during the period of its operation AzerGold exported 287,000 ounces of gold and 530,000 ounces of silver to the international market.

"Over the period of just over 5 years, about AZN 757 million have been raised to the country's economy from the sale of precious metals. Currently, work is underway on the transition from the oxide to the sulfide phase at the Chovdar gold deposit in Dashkesan district and the Agehush 1 and Marakh open gold deposits. As a result of the exploration work carried out by us in Dashkesan district last year, another potential gold deposit Narimanli was discovered,” Farzaliyev said.
