February 24, Fineko/abc.az. 74,000 foreigners and stateless persons from 128 countries visited Azerbaijan last month (2.1-fold more against January 2021).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Border Service that compared with January 2021, the number of arrivals from the UAE grew 651.3-fold, from Saudi Arabia 438.9-fold, Kuwait 104.8-fold, India 8.9-fold, Pakistan 8.5-fold, Israel 7.1-fold, the U.S. 3-fold, Kazakhstan 2.7-fold, the Russian Federation 2.1-fold, Ukraine 2-fold, from Iran 2-fold, from France 2-fold, from Turkey 1.7-fold, from the UK 1.5-fold, and the number of arrivals from Georgia decreased 3-fold. Compared with January 2021, the number of arrivals from the Persian Gulf countries increased 3.4-fold up to 16,500 people, from the CIS countries 2-fold up to 29,500 people, from the EU member states 1.7-fold up to 2,800 people.

42.4% of foreigners and stateless persons arrived in our country by rail and road transport, 55.5% by air, and 2.1% by sea.
