February 18, Fineko/abc.az. The premiums of 10 insurance companies out of 20 ones operating in Azerbaijan decreased last month compared with January 2021.

The decline of premiums was recorded on the following insurers: A Group, Ata Sığorta, Atəşgah Həyat, Atəşgah, Dövlət Sığorta Kommersiya Şirkəti, Azsığorta, Günay Sığorta, Ipək Yolu Sığorta, Meqa Sığorta, and Qala Sığorta.

The insurance companies’ premiums for January 2022 amounted to AZN 118.234 million (growth of AZN 14.223 million, or 13.7% against January 2021).

The growth is conditioned with an increase in premiums gathered on life insurance, medical and property insurance.

The premiums collected on compulsory insurance decreased.
