April 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan continues strengthening its position on the global oil and gas market.

In the course of 3rd SOCAR international forum "Downstream Caspian & Central Asia - trade, logistics, oil refining & petrochemistry" SOCAR vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh stated that for the last 19 years Azerbaijan has been receiving profit oil from field Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli.

"The share of profit oil from the field for the past 19 years has been brought up to 56.6%," Yusifzade said.

He added that 451 million tons of oil and 144 bn cu m of gas have been extracted from the field to date.
