Central Bank sold $66.4 million to banks at a currency auction

January 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The Central Bank reports that $66.4 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on 5 January.

"Demand from banks at the foreign exchange auction amounted to $66.4 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate was AZN 1.70 to the US dollar.
