U.S. economy shrank more than by 31%

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. economy contracted significantly in the 2nd quarter of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that the U.S. economy shrank by 31.4% year-on-year over the period.

So, in Q2 of this year U.S.’ GDP fell from 31.7% to 31.4%.

According to experts, although economists had expected the U.S. economy to contract by 31.7%, this did not happen.

GDP price index grew by 1.4% in Q1 and fell to 1.8% in Q2 of 2020.
