February 2, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) keeps transparency of its sales of foreign currency in the local market.

SOFAZ reports that sold foreign currency for $299.1 million at January’s currency auctions.

Over the past year SOFAZ sold currency in the amount of $3.608 bn.

Since 2017 the Fund’s finances have been participating in the foreign exchange market indirectly as well – within the framework of transfer from the SOFAZ budget to the Central Bank for maintenance of financial stability.
