July 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that $56.4 million was sold to banks in the currency auction on 16 July.

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $56.4 million and was fully secured," the CBA said in a statement.

At the end of the auction the average weighted exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
