11:39 - 15.04.2020

April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The most severe global economic crisis in the 20th century, the lowest oil price and the largest pandemic affect the revenues of the consolidated budget in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications.

He noted that while in the 1st quarter of 2020 the State Budget revenues amounted to AZN 7.811 bn, expenditures AZN 5.255 bn, and the surplus AZN 2.556 bn, and the situation is getting worse in the rest of the year: "Although in the 1st quarter the tax and customs authorities provided a forecast of revenues more than by AZN 312.2 million, the uncertainty due to the deep global recession and pandemic negatively affects revenues. As global shocks continue, revenues and expenditures are being reviewed as part of the fiscal support policy for the national economy."
