March 31, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's anti-crisis program amounts to AZN 2.5 bn, and at the same time makes up 3.1% of GDP.
ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications.
According to Gasimli, unlike the Azerbaijani government, the government of Georgia has made a decision about the assistance package 1 billion Georgian lari, or 2% of GDP.
Gasimli made a comparison not only with Georgia, but also published the anti-crisis program of other countries: "Russia announced about a package of assistance in the amount of 300 billion rubles (0.3% of Russia's GDP), Turkey - aid package of 100 billion liras (2% of GDP), Kyrgyzstan - an anti-crisis package of $9.4 million (1% of GDP), Uzbekistan - $1 bn (1.5% of GDP), Spain - a package of EUR 8.9 bn (0.7% of GDP). As you can see, the program of support for Azerbaijan is quite large in comparison with other countries."
