September 25, Fineko/abc.az. In the Aliaga region with the status of a special industrial zone in SOCAR Turkey, the opening ceremony of the object, as well as the ceremony of laying another object took place.

According to ABC.AZ, SOCAR Turkiye implements new investment projects in order to increase the storage capacity of the STAR refinery, which is a subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey and has a processing capacity of 10 million tons of crude oil per year. Of these, the SOCAR Depolama terminal completed the expansion project and launched a project to increase the potential of crude oil tanks and intermediate products at the STAR refinery. New investments will increase the capacity of SOCAR Turkey and its warehouses up to 2.5 million cubic meters.

Speaking at the ceremony, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev noted that over the past 10 years, Petkim's total revenues amounted to TRL 47.2 billion, and net profit exceeded TRL 4 billion. The STAR Refinery has already refined 4 million tons of crude oil. By the end of this year, this figure will reach 8 million tons.

SOCAR President noted that increasing the capacity of storage facilities will make an important contribution to the performance, processing safety and sales of STAR products under the most optimal commercial conditions in the market.
