September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Toyota Motor estimates it could spend 1 trillion yen ($6.4 billion) annually from 2028 to modernize its manufacturing footprint through accelerated automation and robotics deployment.

The potential investment scope covers Toyota, its affiliate group companies, and key suppliers. The automaker signaled to investors that driving factory automation across these facilities would require deploying roughly 400,000 robots, encompassing traditional industrial machinery, automated logistics systems, and advanced humanoid robots.
