November 5, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the establishment of the Zangilan Agropark and the introduction of appropriate amendments to some decrees.

Under the decree, the Zangilan Agropark has been established in the territories of the Zangilan and Gubadli districts.

The management of the Agropark and infrastructure projects were entrusted to the Economic Zones Development Agency, and initially 500,000 manats were allocated to the Agency from the Presidential Reserve Fund.

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must ensure that the Agency uses a land plot of 1,424.55 hectares near the city of Zangilan and 164.15 hectares near the village of Tatar, Gubadli district, within two months.

The decree establishes that the Zangilan Agropark is a territory designed for the production, processing and packaging of competitive agricultural products using modern technologies and methods, the provision of services, including storage, sorting and sale of products, as well as contributing to the effective operation and development of entrepreneurs in this field.
