October 5, Fineko/abc.az. "By the end of 2025, modern irrigation was used in the country on an area of 130,000 hectares. It is planned to increase this figure up to 300,000 hectares by the end of 2030."

Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov made the relevant statement during his speech at a panel discussion on the theme "Mechanisms of state support in the agricultural sector".

The minister told about country’s plans to create 230 hectares of greenhouses in the occupation-liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

"In the direction of producing more valuable products, the goal is to increase the volume of greenhouses in the country. Speech is not about ordinary greenhouses, but about expansion of greenhouses with the use of intensive and modern technologies. Unlike previous experience, this program aims to develop greenhouses primarily within agricultural zones, within industrial zones. One of the projects in this direction provides for the construction of greenhouses in a single zone on an area of 230 hectares in the liberated territories. At the next stage, it is planned to expand greenhouses in other regions of the country."
