November 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijan imported 53 tons of fresh and dried figs for $246,000.

According to the State Statistics Committee, compared with Jan-Aug 2025, the cost of imports declined by 6%, while its volume in physical terms increased by 8%.

Over Jan-Sept 2026, Azerbaijan purchased:

in Turkey - 19.3 tons for $134,400. Compared with Jan-Aug 2025, shipments grew by 54% in value and by 51% in volume;

in Saudi Arabia - 22.5 tons for $52,300. A year earlier, there were no supplies from this country; in China - 6 tons for $28,400; in Iran - 3.5 tons for $21,300. The growth was 24% and 10.3%, respectively;

in Uzbekistan - 1.6 tons for $8,800. The drop was 94.3% in value and 95% in physical terms.

Thus, Azerbaijan resumed importing figs from China after a break of 1 year and 11 months.
