October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said at an event dedicated to the Day of Agricultural Workers that for Jan-Sept 2026, the country produced rural products for more than 11 billion manats.

Grain production grew by 8.2% against Jan-Sept 2025, while wheat yields increased to 36.3 quintals, and fruit and berry production increased by 5%, reaching 842,600 tons.

Positive dynamics was also recorded in the export of agricultural and processed products.

The minister noted that against the background of climate change, water scarcity and changes in international markets, digitalization, modern technologies and scientific approaches should become the main directions of agricultural development.

At that, creation of modern farms in the territories of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur liberated from occupation, as well as involvement of these lands in economic turnover, open up new opportunities for the country.
