October 29, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has seen a significant increase in the number of unique individual depositors, as well as the deposit portfolio in the national currency, ABC.AZ reports that CBA governor Taleh Kazimov said at a press conference.

According to Kazimov, over the past two and a half years, the volume of deposits of individuals in manats has increased by 89% and more than doubled the figure for 2021.

"The number of depositors has also more than doubled. If at the end of September 2023 there were 106,000 of them, now this figure is approaching 227,000. This year, the growth is 20-22%. The number of deposits in the amount of up to 30,000 manats has increased especially noticeably, rather than up to 100,000 manats," he said.
