October 27, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2026, the three largest banks of Azerbaijan - ABB, Kapital Bank and Pasha Bank - received 72.4% of the total net profit of the banking sector, earning 783.2 million manats out of 1.81 billion manats.

As a whole, over the past 9 months, 21 banks operating in the country received 1.81 billion manats of net profit. The remaining 298.6 million manats accounted for the rest 18 banks.

Thus, the profit of the three largest banks was 2.6-fold higher than the total result of other market participants.

ABB, which earned 352.4 million manats, became the leader on net profit. Kapital Bank took the 2nd place with indicator of 297 million manats.

The combined profit of those two banks amounted to 649.4 million manats, or 60% of the net profit of the entire banking sector (217 million manats, or 50.2% more than the total result of the other 19 banks).

Pasha Bank took the 3rd place with net profit of 133.8 million manats. Top 5 also includes Bank Respublika (50.3 million manats) and AccessBank (45.2 million manats).

Together, the first five banks accounted for 878.7 million manats, or 81.2% of the banking sector's net profit. Their result was 4.3-fold higher than the total profit of the other 16 banks.
