October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2026, a rise in the cost of importing tobacco and tobacco products was recorded in Azerbaijan.

The State Customs Committee reports that for the past 9 months of 2026, the statistical value of tobacco and tobacco products imports reached $111.5 million against $95.5 million for Jan-Sept 2025. Thus, imports increased by 17%, or by $16 million.

The share of tobacco and tobacco products in Azerbaijan's overall imports increased from 0.57% for Jan-Sept 2025 up to 0.84% for the 2026 same term.
