October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan can gain a number of advantages by joining the Convention on Common Transit.

World Trade Organization (WTO) expert Marius Bordalba made the relevant statement at the Azerbaijan-European Union business forum.

He noted that Azerbaijan is implementing a range of measures in the field of trade policy, quality infrastructure and digital transformation in order to create a favorable business environment and support economic development.

This step will speed up passage through border checkpoints, make customs processes electronic and reduce security costs.

It was also noted in the speech that, together with the Ministry of Economy, the regulatory framework for e-commerce was evaluated, and online platforms, banks and logistics operators were involved in this process, along with government agencies.
