Hakan Fidan: Turkiye and Azerbaijan Working Relentlessly to Reach $15 Billion Trade Target

September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Speaking at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted the core economic and strategic priorities between the two nations.

Fidan stated that all government institutions, trade chambers, and professional organizations are working relentlessly to reach the $15 billion (25.5 billion AZN) bilateral trade volume target set by the presidents as quickly as possible.

The Turkish Minister emphasized that cooperation in energy, transportation, and logistics forms another critical strategic pillar of bilateral relations, with numerous joint initiatives currently underway. Fidan specifically underscored the geopolitical significance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, noting that Ankara considers the rail line one of the most vital components of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).
