September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, textile products, clothing and footwear for 5.613 bn manats ($3.302 bn) were sold to consumers in the retail trade network of Azerbaijan (4.3% more versus Jan-Aug 2025), the State Statistics Committee informs.

The share of goods in this category made up 12.7% of the total amount of customer spending on final consumption.

As a whole, for the past 8 months, country's retail trade turnover amounted to 44.3 bn manats ($26.05 bn). Of this amount, 24.1 bn manats ($14.17 bn) accounted for food, beverages and tobacco products, while 20.2 bn manats ($11.88 bn) for non-food products. Compared with Jan-Aug 2025, overall trade turnover increased in real terms by 3.9%, including in the food sector by 1.4% and in the non-food sector by 6.9%.
