September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Precious metals prices registered a decline during trading sessions on New York's COMEX commodity exchange.

The price of gold dropped by $13.60 to settle at $4,338.30 per troy ounce (approx. 7,375.11 AZN). Concurrently, silver fell by $0.48 to stand at $63.66 per troy ounce (approx. 108.22 AZN).

Market analysts attribute the pullback in precious metals to a strengthening U.S. dollar and profit-taking by investors ahead of upcoming interest rate guidance from the Federal Reserve.
