September 15, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2026, the current account surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments amounted to $4.7 bn.

CBA StatisticsDepartment’s director Samir Nasirov said this at a press conference held at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

He noted that for Jan-Jun 2026, current account surplus was formed in the amount of 12.4% of GDP. He pointed out that this figure is 2-fold higher versus Jan-Jun 2025.
