September 11, Fineko/abc.az. Mustafa Pustu, the chairman of board at TEIAŞ, touched upon the importance of energy transition and interconnections at the V Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum in Baku.

He noted that the transmission of electricity is one of the key elements of economic development, social welfare and national security.

According to Pustu, integration of renewable energy sources into the energy grid and the expansion of intercountry interconnectors should be addressed not only at the national but also at the regional level.

Pustu stressed that TEIAŞ, which is responsible for the smooth and high-quality operation of Turkey's energy system, will continue contributing to development of the regional energy vision.
