September 11, Fineko/abc.az. New projects will expand the supply of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the V Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum in Baku.

According to the minister, the current stage of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkey is characterized by the strengthening of national and regional energy security, the integration of energy systems and the formation of a common vision of the Turkic world.

Shahbazov noted that the energy forum contributes to the implementation of this agenda by supporting the deepening of cooperation in the fields of hydrocarbons, renewable energy, energy efficiency, electricity regulation and mining.

The minister stressed that the launch of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline, the joining of TPAO to the Shafag-Asiman project, the agreement on the export of part of the gas from the Absheron field to Turkey, as well as the supply of Azerbaijani gas through Turkey to new European markets and to Syria demonstrate the expansion of the scale and geography of energy partnership.
