July 31, Fineko/abc.az. According to Central Bank’s updated baseline, Azerbaijan’s annual inflation is expected to be 6.1% in 2026 and 5.8% in 2027.
Earlier, the regulator forecasted inflation at 5.9% for 2026 and 4.5% for 2027.
According to the CBA, in June 2026, 12-month inflation was 5.8% and core inflation - 5.5%. In annual terms, food prices grew by 7.1%, services prices by 5.6% and non-food prices by 3.8%.
The regulator explains increase in the forecast by activation of external cost factors, including rising global energy and food prices due to geopolitical tensions. The CBA noted that these risks are medium-term in nature, and inflation is expected to return to the target range in the 2nd half of 2027.
