July 27, Fineko/abc.az. TotalEnergies (France) has filed an appeal against the decision of the Paris court, which obliged the company to take into account climate goals in its strategy. The court recognized the energy giant responsible for air pollution, including emissions from the use of fuel by consumers.

The company is not agree with the verdict, stating that climate change is a global problem and the responsibility for the use of products should not be imposed only on manufacturers. TotalEnergies believes the decision contradicts the principles of free enterprise and legal certainty.
