July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Global pipeline gas imports increased by 1% year-on-year and reached 306 bcm for Jan-Jun 2026, according to the report of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

"Over Jan-Jun 2026, imports of global pipeline gas grew by 1% year-on-year, reaching 306 bcm," the report states.

The increase in imports was primarily driven by grown supplies to Kazakhstan, Canada, and the EU, which offset the decrease in supplies to the U.S., Mexico, and China.

According to the GECF, Eurasia retained its status as the largest exporting region in the global pipeline gas market, and 33% of all supplies account for the region.
