July 16, Fineko/abc.az. Bank VTB Azərbaycan OJSC has released the financial results for the first half of 2026, demonstrating decline on profitability and attracted funds.

Bank's net profit declined by 7.8% year-on-year, to 5.826 million manats, compared to 6.319 million manats a year earlier. This drop was linked with an 8.1% fall in bank's revenues (to 26.053 million manats), while a more moderate decrease in expenses was only 4% (to 21.393 million manats).

In addition, bank's liabilities declined by 3.7% (to 220.669 million manats), including the deposit portfolio immediately dropped by 13.3% to 121.778 million manats. At the same time, bank's assets remained almost unchanged (-0.1%), reaching 336.85 million manats, including 247.35 million manats of net loans to customers.

The main positive trends in the first half of the year were an increase in the loan portfolio by 19.8% over the year and an increase in the balance sheet capital by 7.7% to 116.164 million manats.
